Sarah Keeling is an artist and filmmaker creating interdisciplinary projects that explore systems of labor, community, and place. Through her work, she looks for curiosities within the infrastructures of society, culture, even a landscape, and finds creative ways to tell that story. Sarah's projects combine familiarity and humor to make comedic yet contemplative works. She earned her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA), in 2014 and was a fellow in the Collaborative Studio at UnionDocs Center for Documentary Art (Brooklyn, NY) in 2017.
Sarah's work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and festivals including David B. Smith Gallery, CO; Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Gallery 707, PA; the Queens Museum of Art, NY; University of Buffalo Gallery Visual Arts Gallery, NY; ISEA2015, Toronto, CAN; Bunker Projects, PA; The Billboard Project, PA; the West Virginia University Arts Museum & Educational Center, WV; and the Bronco Gallery Portland, OR.
